As I left the pier from Piping Plover monitoring (yes - we did shifts two days in a row!), I saw what appeared to be a mother and her son fishing small creatures from the pier inlet. They looked so happy together.

My family always said that the corn is supposed to be knee hight on the 4th of July – but of course they were talking about sweet corn. This is field corn, and it is more than knee high, and now we have wind turbines to combat the climate crisis.
