Over the years, I've come to appreciate Halloween more and more.  It is our one holiday that is more about community and neighbors and not just about family and friends.  After all what is more communal that knocking on neighbors' doors and giving to all who come.

I am not so sure when Halloween became such a thing.  Well, maybe not so much of a thing everywhere.   However, in Oak Park it is.   This is just a sampling and these photos were taken only on three blocks of Home Ave.
