2024: Going Somewhere. Taken on Montrose just west of Ashland in Chicago.

I took this photo but skipped the ones that would have been more interesting a few blocks further on as I walked home. A car turned onto Ravenswood from Montrose and hit a bicyclist who was riding east. I didn't actually see it, but got there a minute or so afterward. The cyclist was 18 and neither he nor the driver really knew what to do. Fortunately he had a helmet, but was still pretty banged up. Me and another person who was walking by stayed there and talked to the driver and cyclist until the police and then a fire truck came – not that they did any good. Ultimately the cyclist decided he was OK and didn't want to go to the ER – so they never called an ambulance or really check him out. The driver took him to the drug store and then home – and I finished my walk. I figured that no one really needed me taking photos so I didn't. But if I had it would have been a photo of 5 fire fighters standing around doing nothing.

2020: I love . . . . Taken on Ainslie between Central Park and Kedzie in Chicago. In these times, people look for different ways to share a place of community. I found this chalk board walking through Albany Park.
2018: On the subway. Taken on the F train between Jackson Heights and Brooklyn in NYC. The subway is a great place to take photos especially since people face each other in most of the cars. This was a nearly empty train for the first part of the ride as I went from Queens to Manhattan before going back out to Brooklyn. Last day in NYC.
2016: Keep on Dreaming. Taken on Belmont just west of Halsted in Chicago
2012: Airline Voucher Man. Taken on Tremont Street in Boston, MA
