2024: End of Swim Season. Take at Montrose Beach in Chicago

With Labor Day weekend, swim season ends at the Lakefront, even thought these days we seem to sometimes have warm weather through September. It looked like all of the lifeguards stations were resting after a long summer.

2020: Defeats the purpose of the mask. Taken on Lawrence between Hamlin and Pulaski in Chicago. All of the time you see people with masks pulled down. Outside, I get it since people don’t feel they need them as much but they can quickly pull them up. But inside there really is no excuse at all.
2018: The call of Sandhill Cranes. Taken on Point Oneida Rd in Sleeping Bear Dunes in Leelanau County, Michigan. I was driving along Point Oneida Rd and stopped because these two cranes were feeding in the field. It is no unusual to see them in Leelanau County, but I rarely see them so close to a road where I can take a photo. As I was taken the photos, several cranes across the road started calling and these two stuck up their heads and called back.
2016: Keeping a keen eye on things. Taken at the corner of Lawrence and Kimball in Chicago.
2012: If only I could always help make someone this happy. Taken at Miller Park in Milwaukee.
