2024: Crossing Guard. Taken on Lincoln south of Montrose in Chicago.

I always have a soft spot for the crossing guards in Chicago. They work for CPS, so the work is part time and seasonal, and they are members of SEIU. I am sure that people take the jobs for lots of different reasons, but like others that I have spoken with on my walks, she told me how much she likes the kids. She proceeded to hold up her sign while I crossed the street.

2020: Block party bingo. Taken on Clinton between Adams and Monroe in Oak Park, IL. This block in Oak Park was closed off for a block party. They were doing socially distanced bingo -- not an activity that would have looked at all like this pre-COVID
2018: Cool shadows. Taken on Halsted just south of Cermak in Chicago. I had a busy day before going out of town. I managed a short walk before a meeting and did something different.
2016: Walking with a purpose. Taken on the campus of the Cleveland Clinic on 100th Street between Carnegie and Euclid in Cleveland, OH.
2012: Hiding. Taken on Stetson Ave just south of Wacker Drive.
