2024: Remembering Red. Taken at TaskForce at Cicero and Madison in Chicago.

I joined Mony and Myles from Equality Illinois for a vigil at Task Force for Red, a transgender woman who was shot and killed a short distance away in the Austin neighborhood. We recited the names of the many Black Trans women who have been killed on the West and South sides of Chicago – murders that almost always go unsolved. Taskforce is a great organization that serves the Queer and Trans community on the Westside. There were maybe a couple dozen of us there for the short vigil, as well as a TV news crew and a reporter and photographer from the Tribune. I wasn't the photographer – so I only took out my camera very briefly before the vigil began and took this photo.

2020: Painters. Taken on Hamlin between Argyle and Ainslie in Chicago. For the past week and a half, we have had painters at the house. Today I aske to take photos as they painted the stairway and living room.
2018: He has the place to himself. Taken at the Book Cellar on Lincoln just south of Lawrence in Chicago.
2016: Beautiful light. Taken on Hamlin just north of Argyle in Chicago.
2012: Into the music. Taken at Dupont Circle in Washington DC.
