There is no better way to celebrate Mony's birthday than to go looking for hummingbirds. We found this little park and sat there and watched the hummingbirds fiercely defend their flowers. Because they were so intent on the threat of other hummingbirds – they paid no attention to us.

Within a few days of each other are Emma and Mony's birthday – as well as Emma's friend Logan. Since Emma was not leaving to go back to Boston until tomorrow, we celebrated all three birthdays together and they jointly blew out the candles.

Indivisible Chicago hosted a second community gathering because "We Are Worth Fighting For." Today we had over 40 people even though it is a Saturday afternoon on a holiday weekend and really cold. At the beginning of each session we start by asking people how they are coming

The best part of Thanksgiving is spending the whole day in the kitchen cooking with my wife. Mony and I cooked all day, and this was the result. The salads were on the dining room table and the pie is hiding on the counter – and they were my primary contributions.

We were out running errands and drove across Lawrence Ave and through Albany Park. We took advantage of being there to stop for some Mexican candy. I love this store. The doors are always locked and they have to let us in. Almost always we have been the only customers.
