2024: When Its This Warm in October. Taken in Horner Park at Montrose east of California in Chicago.

Yes – the top photo has been posted twice, because I apparently didn't know what day it was. So Sunday when I took this photo – was October 20th and not the 19th. I made the big mistake a few days ago when I posted Saturday's photo on Friday. The photos for the other years were all correct, and I have now corrected the website where these all live. So if you are dying to see the photo from Friday, October 18th, you can find it there, and for Sunday, October 20th, you will just have to see this photo again.

It was another beautiful day – so I went to Horner Park for my walk. I just wanted to walk among the trees and in the park. There is a big grassy area in the middle of the park and people like this took the opportunity to soak up the sun and read.

2020: Standing in a long line to early vote. Taken on Madison and Lombard in Oak Park, IL. I actually voted a couple of weeks ago at the Chicago super site, but Mony and Christopher went to vote today in Oak Park. The line went on for a couple of blocks and took about 90 minutes. No one in the line was taking any chances -- and these days we don’t vote often in Chicago, but we do vote early -- especially when our future is at stake.

2018: Exiting. Taken on Lawrence Ave. between Hamlin and Pulaski in Chicago
2016: Pumpkins. Taken at the 9 Bean Row Bakery on Duck Lake Road between Lake Leelanau and Suttons Bay in Leelanau County, MI
2012: Framed by an open car door. Taken on 37th Street in Milwaukee, WI.
