2024: Sending out the Canvassers. Taken at Barrien County Democratic Headquarters on Niles Ave. in St. Joseph, Michigan.

A long day of canvassing today in South Haven with Indivisible and in Holland with Q Force. Already all of the doors and conversations start running together – but here was my favorite. Mony and I went into an poorer looking unlocked apartment building to knock doors. The first door that we knocked was answered by an older woman. She told me that she was going to vote for Harris but now she didn't think that she would vote. She said that Harris was only talking about things for the middle and not for people like her. I told her that I understood what she felt and we talked about the differences between the candidates. She said she definitely did not like Trump, but wasn't sure she wanted to vote for Harris. I tried the best I could, but not sure if I moved her. The next door along the same hallway, Mony knocked. The older woman there was enthusiastic about voting for Harris early Tuesday morning and she knew where to vote. Before we left, I asked her if she knew her neighbor. She said she did. I told her that her neighbor wasn't sure about whether she was going to vote. The woman didn't miss a beat and said – I got this, I will be sure to take her with me on Tuesday.

2020: Waited four years for this day! Taken in Niles, MI. Its is election day. I don’t think a day went by in the last four years when I didn’t think about the day when we would vote Trump out office. I didn’t know then that I would have voted a month before election day or that there would be a pandemic. But I did know that I would be working on election day to get out the vote for whomever it would be who would be running against him. So today Mony and I were in Niles, MI with our masks getting out the vote for Biden/Harris.
2018: Mapping the turf for canvassing. Taken outside the Underwood campiagn office at US12 and IL-134 in Fox Lake, IL. This is the “Last Weekend” before the election. Personnally I think the “last weekend” sound rather ominous, but maybe that is my pessimism these days. At least today was beautiful and sunny. The first step before hitting the doors is to figure out how to map the turf, as in how do you get to there from here.
2016: Waiting to cross. Taken at Randolph and Wacker in Chicago
2012: Four more days to the election. Taken at the Obama campaign office in Cudahy, WI
