2024: Walk in the Neighborhood. Taken on Lawrence Ave east of Pulaski in Chicago.

I always tell myself that I am going to walk on Lawrence to Pulaski, the street where I have taken so many photos, but then never make time for that long of a walk. But today I wanted a long walk, so that is what I did. It was gray again (like almost every day), and there are always fewer people out on a Sunday, but I loved the walk and the same character of Albany Park.

2020: A Photographer’s Paradise. Taken at Belmont and Kimball in Chicago. We were driving home with Liam after a trip to Scooters and he insisted that we drive by the Blue line stop at Belmont since it is new. As we drove by and stopped at the light -- Liam declared that the El Stop was a “photographer’s paradise.”
2018: At the foot of a tree. Taken along Shetland Trail in Leelanau, MI. It rained all day and the Shetland Trail road was still icy - so the worst of combinations (at least for me). But I did go for a walk, and I noticed that beheath nost trees where the trunk reached the ground there were leaves and moss but no snow. So I took photos of them. I am reading Understory by Richard Powers and I will never look at trees the same again. What do these trees have to say to us?
2016: But are you open on Thanksgiving? Taken on Lawrence just West of Kimball in Chicago.
2012: You can do that when you are small. Taken on Lawrence Ave between Kimball and Central Park
