2024: Oops! Taken at the State Capital Building in Sprinfield, IL

It was Equality Illinois's Advocacy Day in Sprinfield where over a hundred Queer activists went to "speak up" to our state legislators. There were a lot of photos to choose from today, but none were as much fun as this one. Equality Illinois leaders were in the press room holding a news conference, and as Brian was wrapping things up his hand hit the mic and sent the foam mic cover flying. I was lucky enough to catch his reaction.

2020: Under the train tracks. Taken on 53rd street just west of Stony Island in Chicago. Made it all the way to Hyde Park today to deliver postcards and went for a walk. However, there were few people out and it was really cold, but the light was beautiful.
2018: ERA Yes. Taken at the State Capitol Building in Springfield, IL. I moved to Chicago in 1984 and was appalled then that Illinois was a State that had never passed the Equal Rights Amendment. Here we are 34 years later -- and the Illinois General Assembly is again debating whether to approve the ERA. Appalling.
2016: Happy Bubble Laundromat. Taken on Lawrence Ave just north of Argyle in Chicago
2012: Painter with a smile. Taken on Connecticut Ave at DuPont Circle in Washington DC
