2024: Making Coffee. Taken at the Goddess and the Baker on Wacker and LaSalle in Chicago.

Before driving to Springfield – we picked up luch and some caffeine for the drive.

2020: Still my favorite bookstore. Taken at Unabridged Books on Broadway between Melrose and Aldine in Chicago. Bookstores are open but only for curbside pickup. So the charm of checking out the shelves is gone -- but from the number of books packed for pickup -- I am not the only one who is so excited just to be able order on line and pick up at the store even it is only to say “hi” and “stay safe” from a distance.
2018: Future Wolves Softball. Taken at Niles North High School just south of Old Orchard and East of the Edens in Niles. Attending today’s softball game were the middle school girls who are the “Future Wolves Softball”. After the game, they formed a line and the varsity players each signed their shirt. How unbelievable that Julia is now one of the older, high school players that the younger girls look up to.
