2024: Intently Listening. Taken at Whiskey Girl on Clark just south of Devon in Chicago.

It must be fundraising season – or maybe it is always fundraising season. Either way, lately we seem to be at a lot of fundraisers. This one was for Alder Marie Hadden, and I took this photo during the short program. The fundraiser was held at Whiskey Girl, one of the new lesbian bars in Chicago.

2018: Taking his birds for a walk. Taken on Lawrence Ave at Francisco in Chicago. Even for Lawrence Avenue, seeing two bird out for a walk was rather unusual. I saw someone pushing what I first thought was a large, tall shopping cart then realized that there were two birds hanging out there. I asked if I could take the photo. He wasn’t all that patient with me or I would have probably taken a better photo, but the birds posed nicely.
