2024: Walking the Bar. Taken at Montrose Beach in Chicago.

It's Friday – so we were at Montrose Beach monitoring the piping plovers – which I also think of as marshaling for birds, since I spend more time watching out for people. Before we began our shift today, I watched a couple of the workers setting up the bar try to get the garage-like door on track. They eventually succeeded and it made for some fun, non-bird photos.

2020: The street becomes a place to snack and lunch. Taken on Southport at Cornelia in Chicago. With warm weather and restaurants only doing take out, people are meeting more in small groups and finding a spot on the street to eat and visit. This was taken on Southport, but there were lots a groups like this near Scooters eating ice cream -- all socially distanced apart.
2018: Standing with Planned Parenthood. Taken on Michigan Avenue at Wacker Drive in Chicago. The most recent outrage from the Trump administration is a gag rule that prohibit any organization (Planned Parenthood) which receives any medicaid funding from providing patients with information about all of their healthcare options. This is an outrage to all women -- and a number of us (with some men too) were out spreading the word.
2016: Scrubbing the floors. Taken in the building that houses the Dime Store at Griswold and Fort in Detroit, MI
2012: Riding in traffic. Taken on Pulaski Ave. at Lawrence
