2024: First Farmers' Market. Taken at the Evanston Farmers' Market on Emerson and Maple Ave.

Actually it wasn't the first farmers' market in Evanston this year. That was a couple of weeks ago. But since we were out of town the past two weekends, it was the first one for us. I love the Spring vegtables: spinich, spring onions, green garlic, and lots of asparagus!

2020: Masks at more than six feet. Taken on Lawrence Ave between Hamlin and Central Park in Chicago. The vast majority of people on Lawrence now wear masks even as they walk down the street -- and almost always have one on hand since they are required to enter any building or shop. People are not as careful about the social distancing -- but this guy did what I often do -- take a bit of the street.
2018: Unmistakably a bald eagle. Taken on South Lake Leelanau in Leelanau County Michigan. I was paddling on Lake Leelanau and hoping to find a loon. But even though it has been a late spring the ducks and loons seem to know that Memorial Day is around the corner, and they are already nesting. So although there were no loons, this bald eagle was checking out the Lake before he flew off.
2016: Along the Detroit River. Taken on the riverwalk along the Detroit River between the Renaissance Center and Cobo Hall.
2012: Looking at the laptop. Taken on Argyle Street just west of Hamlin Ave
