2024: In the Fog. Taken at the Montrose Bird Sanctuary in Chicago.

Today was our first shift as Piping Plover Monitors at Montrose Beach. We have a weekly two hour shift on Friday afternoons - so this is surely not going to be the only photo this summer from Montrose Beach, and I am sure I will post more about the Piping Plovers, Imani, Sea Rocket, and Pippin (formerly Green Dot). Today it was pretty much hard to see anything because the fog was rolling in off of the colder Lake water. I took this photo as we finished our shift since we are supposed to be watching the birds and people while on duty and not taking photos!

2020: Back in Chicago in the Rain. Taken on South Blvd just east of Harlem in Oak Park, IL. Actually this is back in Oak Park. And with nearly 4 inches of rain, the only photo I took. The post office delivers in rain or shine -- and these days mostly for Amazon.
2018: Cherry trees. Taken on French Rd. between Lake Leelanau and Cedar in Leelanau County, Michigan. I should have had more photos to choose from today, but I was without a camera. I decided to take a bike ride and not take my small camera, but I put my Canon in the car to take photos after the bike ride, only to find when I pulled out the camera that the battery was at home being charged. I went out later and took this.
2016: Groceries. Taken on Pulaski at Ainslie in Chicago.
2012: Looking as the train pulls up. Taken at the Red Line stop at Dupont Circle in Washington DC
