2024: Shoveling Sand. Taken at Montrose Beach in Chicago

There has been a lot of wind at the lakefront, which means a lot of blowing sand (and lots of other things). This is not the only day when we visited Motrose beach to find park district workers shoveling sand.

2020: Quite a turtle. Taken on Densmore Rd. north of E. Woolsley Lake Rd in Leelanau County, MI. Driving along the road to the trailhead at Leelanau State Park, this snapping turtle was slowly crossing the road. We stopped, took photos, and made sure that it was safely across before driving on.
