March 4

I took today's photo while out on a lunch walk. A lot of people had the same idea.

2020: If My Uterus Had a Gun. Taken at Federal Plaza at Dearborn between Adams and Jackson in Chicago. Today oral arguments were heard at the Supreme Court threatening the right of women to control our own bodies. There were rallies around the country including here in Chicago. I took the train downtown with a group of kids from Von Stueben High School -- and these were some of them.
2018: Daughters and Dads. Taken at the Lincoln Park Conservatory just south of Fullerton in Chicago. I found myself near the Lincoln Park Conservatory when I went to see a movie at the Peggy Notebaert Museum. I couldn’t resist enjoying the flowers and green in the sunshine of the conservatory. Lots of other people felt the same way.
2016: Huge (MISTAKE). I was across the street from the Chocolate Shoppe and in need of a quick photo. I forced myself to go get an ice cream cone so that I could check out the murals on the walls of the Shoppe. They change about every 6 months and are always political from a very left perspective usually sparing no one. They were still working on the new one, so I will have to go back to see it when it is done. But given all the craziness in the news -- well this just had to be the photo for today. PS. I could not have imagined when I took this photo in 2016 everything that has happened since, or that we would be be facing the same threat and potential for another Huge MISTAKE - except that we know now that it was not a mistake, but very much what is much of our country.
2012: Jogging along the River Walk. Taken along the South side of the River walk just west of Michigan Ave.
