March 31

Before we left Leelanau County and after loading up the car, we took a quick hike at Pyramid Point in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. We didn't see much in the way of birds, but driving back out Port Oneida Road, we first heard and then saw about a half dozen Sandhill Cranes. They landed rather far away, but then these two landed much closer. Two Eastern Meadowlarks were an even bigger treat since we hand't seen them before– but I didn't manage a photo of them.

2020: Sheltering at Home. Taken on Hamlin between Ainslie and Argyle in Chicago. It is gray, windy and cold -- so today we did shelter at home all day. Haircut and a very clean and organized fridge.
2018: Trees touching. Taken on Warren at Linder in Morton Grove. I would rather be seeing leaves on the trees. But in the meantime, the trees with their bare branches and the spring time sky make for great shadows and tonight for a great silhouette.
2016: Sí a Respeto. Taken at the O’Hare Airport Strike in Chicago
2012: Let me help you. Taken on Lincoln Ave. between Lawrence and Leland
