No ice on the Lake and winter storms brings in a lot of stones onto beaches in Michigan. And that brings out the people that collect them.

I saw him from across the street and waited for him to go to his van and get back up on the ladder. I took his photos from there and he noticed. So when I crossed the street he asked why I took his photo. I did my quick smile and thank you -- I take photos of people who are hard at work. He then joked that it would be $10 for the photo. I told him that he was double dipping because it looked he was already being paid for the job he was doing -- like a lawyer would. Or he added like a politician.
