2024:Lost in a Book. Taken at the Literati Bookstore on 4th and Washington in Ann Arbor, MI
When I was in law school in Ann Arbor, the independent bookstore there was a refuge – and that bookstore was Borders, before it became a national chain, was bought by Kmart, and went bankrupt. And I still look for independent bookstores wherever I go. Today in Ann Arbor Literati is the independent bookstore, and I try to stop whenever I am there for work. I always have to show some love when I go into any bookstore, so it was 5 books today. Only one of those was on my list, which is good because although I like to show some love, I don't want to cheat on my Chicago bookstores!
2020:Getting out and kicking a soccer ball. Taken on Home Ave. and Harvard in Oak Park, IL. Since kids are home from school and everything is closed -- people are walking their kids -- and their dogs. Walks are a lot more fun with a soccer ball.2018: On the way to school. Taken on Lawrence just west of Kedzie in Chicago. I was on my way to get coffee, and I am pretty sure they were on their way to school. Love the hats.2016: Be a super heroine. Taken in front of Women and Children First on Clark St. and Farragut in Chicago2012: Carrying a sleeping child. Taken on Connecticut Ave and Q Street in Washington DC
