March 17

We went to early vote, and as we walked in this girl was standing with her grandmother reminding voters to support the Bring Chicago Home referendum. Her grandmother was obviously proud that she was out there. I didn't have my camera ready to take that photo, but when we came out I was prepared. I asked her if I could take her photo and thanked her for being out there.

2020: Bread is an essential. Taken on Lawrence Ave between Hamlin and Pulaski in Chicago. Today was election day, and for the first time in a long time I wasn’t canvassing anywhere. I did take a walk to see how Albany Park was reacting as restaurants closed for dining in.
2018: Citizenship Workshop. Taken at the offices of PASO on North Ave east of Mannheim Rd. in Melrose Park, IL. I went to PASO Citizenship Workshop to take some photos since they are being recognized for their immigration work by the Crossroads Fund. Once a month they hold the workshop where people from the communities that they serve can come in to learn about how to renew their documentation and pursue citizenship. Great organization and great people. PS. And who could have known . . . .
2016: A bike and a suitcase. Taken on Kedzie and Lawrence in Chicago
2012: Yes, the water was that green. Taken on the Chicago River on St. Patrick's Day
