2024: The Geese Win. Taken at Montrose Harbor.

It was the first day to take advantage of an extra hour of evening daylight and warm but windy weather. We went to Montrose Point and had tacos along the harbor and looked for birds. At Montrose Harbor there is a yacht club that has artificial grass on its launch – and these rather silly fake coyotes that I guess are supposed to scare the geese. We are pretty sure our city geese are smarter than that – and we like to think that they took their revenge on the "coyote" and the silly people that put it there.

2020:Nothing like an elementary school recital. Taken at the Lincoln Elementary School at Kenilworth between Harvard and Fillmore in Oak Park. Mony asked me to pick the kid among the performers who most reminded me of what I might imagine myself to be like looking back many years. The girl in the middle was my pick.
2018:Taking notes on the resistance. Taken at Malcolm X College on Jackson and Damen in Chicago. I was volunteering and listening at the Indivisible Summit, but wasn’t feeling very motivated about taking photos of lots of other people who were listening. So I looked for something from where I was sitting and took this photo of the woman sitting next to me.
2016:Pick me up. Taken looking into Sweetgreen on Connecticut Ave just North of Dupont Circle in Washington D
2012:Selling fruit. Taken on Lawrence Ave between Kedzie and Kimball
