2024: We Won't Go Back. Taken on Halsted Streed at the Pride Parade in Chicago.

Thanks to our Mayor, the Parade was shorter and smaller than the past several years – and thanks to advocates it was longer and larger than the City wanted. The Parade is a lot of fun – but Pride is also a protest. And that is all the more reason in this time of attacks against our community that we need to make our voices heard and we need to be seen.

2020: What a mess. Taken on Hamlin Ave between Ainslie and Argyle in Chicago. We were busy all day creating space and getting rid of a lot of things that I should have tossed a long time ago. So there was not time to go out and get any other photo -- but this one is truly frightening.
2018: Families Belong Together March. Taken at Daley Plaza at the beginning of the Families Belong Together March. There were so many photos today of the 60,000 people who turned out in more than 100 degree heat to protest what the government is doing to immigrants at the border, in Chicago, and everywhere in between. #familiesbelongtogether #abolishice
2016: Sonny’s Farm. Taken along M22 just north of Lime Lake Rd in Leelanau County, Michigan
2012: Stop. Taken at the Evanston Farmers Market. PS. Twelve years later and I still see her at the Farmers Market!
