A few weeks ago, Mony expressed great interest in Mona's caterpillars – and the next thing we knew there was dill and a caterpillar on our front porch! Actually it turned out there were two eggs on the dill in addition to the caterpillar - so now there are three. This one is the oldest and biggest. And now we know why it is called a "very hungry caterpillar"! It is amazing to think that in a few weeks this will be a swallowtail butterfly. Mony is a bit concerned that it might not want to be a butterfly – but I keep telling her that is not how it works.

2020: Back to protesting. Taken in Palmer Square Park at Kedzie south of Fullerton in Chicago. We joined car caravans to protest police violence in Logan Square and in Bronzeville today. There were a lot of cars, a lot of noise, a lot of marchers, and a lot of photos.
2018: Walking among others. Taken on Kedzie just north of Foster in Chicago
2016: Very cool - but she probably doesn’t call it that. Taken on Keeler just north of Peterson in Chicago. If I hadn’t taken her to the batting cages, played catch and then driven her to the movies, I would have had time to take another photo – but I wouldn’t have had as much fun.
2012: Behind the gate. Taken on Mohawk just north of North Ave.
