Some of my co-workers from National Wildlife Federation (NWF) and I were at the Chicago Botanical Gardens this evening where NWF hosted a screening of the documentary film Bad River about the resistance of the Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa and their campaign to shutdown Line 5. Film screenings do not lend themselves to great photos. This was the check in table.
2020: Back at the Farmers Markets. Taken at the Oak Park Farmers Market just south of Lake Street between East and Oak Park Ave. in Oak Park, IL. Back when everything shut down in March -- one of the things that I thought that I might miss the most was going to the farmers’ markets in the summer. It wasn’t clear if they were going to happen or not. But they are here although not quite the same. There are lines, limited access, one direction past the farm stands, and of course masks -- but the fruits and vegetables are the same.2018: A man and his machine. Taken on Jackson between Racine and Halsted in Chicago2016:Shish kabobs on the porch. Taken on Argyle between Pulaski and Hamlin2012: Jet ski. Taken on the Raystown Lake near Huntington PA
