Since it is June, we continued celebrating Pride month with Equality Illinois' kick off brunch. There was great food and drinks, a few speeches, a wonderful DJ, and best of all wonderful friends. I put my camera away before the event started - so my photos are all from the set up.
2020: A world turned upside down. Taken on Lawrence Ave. between Central Park and Kimball in Chicago. There are few people out on the streets and even more buildings are boarded up. Lots of the businesses are still closed because of covid, and there is uncertainty about what might happen. This bridal store went out of business or is at least closed. Somehow this window captures how the streets feel right now.2018: It is still all about the asparagus. Taken at the Evanston Farmers Market at Oak Ave and University Place in Evanston, IL. The spring was so cold that the recent warmer weather has not been able to catch up the vegetables with the calendar. There was a lot of asparagus at the market but we are still waiting for most of he peas, sugar snaps, and strawberries.2016: Taking an evening stroll. Taken from the Brown Line Loop tracks at Adam and Wabash2012: Planting. Taken at the Peterson Garden Project World Garden on Lawrence at Sacramento
