2024: Quesadillas de flor de calabaza. Taken at home on Sunnyside in Chicago.

Mony taught us all how to make tortillas and then fill them to make quesadillas de flor de calabaza. This is Ann using the newly learned skills. Oh, and they were delicious.

2020: So Proud. Taken on Hamlin between Ainslie and Argyle in Chicago. I am obviously not the photographer here -- but this is a great occasion for an exception. Julia graduated from High School in this craziest of years. The spring of her Senior year was wiped out by the pandemic so she is looking ahead now to the University of Iowa. We celebrated with dinner with Mony acting as photographer.
2018: Bakery delivery. Taken on Central Park just south of 26th Street in Chicago. I took a walk through Little Village on a very hot day. The baked goods sitting on this rack outside this truck caught my eye and as I took a photo of that, the delivery worker came out of the truck making it a much better photo. He asked me if I wanted any. I am not sure if you wanted to give it to me or have me buy it, but either way I thanked him but said “no gracias”.
