2024: Evening Walk. Taken on Halsted at Buckingham in Chicago.

Today was a busy work from home day – so I ended up grabbing this photo from the car. At least I wasn't driving.

2020: Police torture. Taken on 51st Street between King Drive and Wentworth in Chicago. At the end of a car caravan protest, protestors gathered on 51St where the police had closed off the street. As these young people listened on, one of the victims of the Burge police torture talked about his experiences and change that they had to make happen.
2018: With his screech owl. Taken at Daley Plaza in Chicago. I was walking through Daley Plaza on my way to a “die in protest” about guns, and the Cook County Forest Preserves had a number of tables with information about their parks and nature centers. They also had two birds that are housed at the nature centers: a Swanson’s Hawk and this Screech Owl. He had an eye infection and could not be released. I had no idea they were so tiny. His handler seemed more shy than the owl was.
