2024: Nature Discovery. Taken on the pier at Montrose Point.

As I left the pier from Piping Plover monitoring (yes - we did shifts two days in a row!), I saw what appeared to be a mother and her son fishing small creatures from the pier inlet. They looked so happy together.

2018: Feeding. Taken on Shetland Trail, Cedar in Leelanau, Michigan. It would have been better if I could have gotten a photo of the very tiny baby hummingbird -- but I was fortunate to get this shot. I am always concerned that they won’t come back since I am not consistently there to feed them. But it seems that every time I go there and fill the feeder, they show up like they were waiting.
