2024: Imani and Chick. Taken on Montrose Beach in Chicago.

We were monitoring again today – and this time I was fortunate to finally get a good photo of Imani and one of the chicks as we were leaving the protected area at the end of our shift. Since they are super cute and I love this sequence of photos – there is more than one photo today. In the first photo above Imani is looking up to make sure there are no predators. In photo two below, he gets up, and you can now see the chick that he was brooding. In photo 3, you can see the chick was not too happy about being exposed and it voices its displeasure. But Imani wins, and in photo 4 the chick hurries to catch up!

2020: Decorated for the holiday. Taken on Home Ave. between Lexington and Harvard in Oak Park, IL
2018: Milkweed. Taken on the Sleeping Bear Point hiking trail in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Leelanau, Michigan. I have done this hike dozens of time, but I always take my camera and take photos. Sometimes I capture something different than what I have taken before. Other times I take something that looks a lot like a photo that I have taken before, but something is always subtlety different
2016: Ice cream on a hot day back in the City. Taken on Ainslie between Central Park and Kimball in Chicago
2012: Cats get equal time. Taken in my dining room on Hamlin.
