2024: Fiercely Independent. Taken on Burnside and SW10th in Portland, OR.

We had time this afternoon to take a walk around downtown Portland and a bit further, do a little shopping, and of course visit Powell's, the City of Books. I exercised great restraint (relatively speaking) since this is only day 2 of a two week trip!

2020: More deliveries than ever. Taken on Michigan Ave near Ohio in Chicago. While over the months so many things have slowed down or stopped -- deliveries of all kinds are everywhere, groceries, food, Amazon, FedEx and UPS.
2018: The Mall. Taken at the Galleria Mall in Geistown in Johnstown, PA. Malls are on hard times these days. That is true of this one with a couple of anchor stores gone and rumors that the whole Mall might close. I once disliked Malls since they helped destroy the downtown areas of so many towns and cities. Still, anywhere people come together is better than just existing on online and buying from Amazon. So let’s hope that some of these stores and malls make it.
