2024: Hold On to Your Hat. Taken on the pier at the Montrose Point in Chicago

It was a windy day on the Pier and for two hours we didn't see the Piping Plover chick – who has now fledged and is named Nagamo. At the end of the shift, we went to meet another monitor for a beer at the deck at beachhouse --and no sooner than we sat down than we got a text that Nagamo was there. So we raced back to the pier and saw them and Imani, the dad plover. We leave for vacation this Sunday and are not sure how long they will be here or if we will see them again.

2020: Clouds over the City. Taken on the Dan Ryan south of downtown in Chicago. There are many times that I am driving and wish I could take a photo when the clouds highlight or sometimes cover the buildings downtown. However, this time I was in the passenger seat and not driving, so I could roll down the window and take photos.
2018: Traffic jam. Taken on Lawrence Ave at Monticello in Chicago
2016: Waiting for the bus. Taken at the corner of Foster and Pulaski in Chicago
2012: On the same train. Taken on the Brown Line train between Kimball and Belmont.
