2024: Rooting for the White Sox. Taken at "Cominsky Park" at 35th and Shields in Chicago.

I wasn't cheering for the White Sox today – because the Pittsburgh Pirates were in town. It was a good day to be a Pirates fan – which made me very happy. It was a bad day and very bad year to be a White Sox fan which didn't stop these kids from cheering most of the game.

2018: Patriotic Garage. Taken on Kimball and just north of Foster in Chicago. This garage was recently painted and is very patriotic. It made me want to know why. I looked up the owner and it appears that he is Middle Eastern and Muslim. As I drove later in the day today, I went past the Yemeni restaurant on Elston and Lawrence and noticed that they put a large patriotic display in front of their store. Do they do this out of pride for their allegiance or to comfort their customers?
