2024: A Whole Lot of Color. Taken at Smoke Square on the corner of Lawrence, Western, and Lincoln.

Most of my photos are in black and white, and as time has gone by that is more true than ever. Most of the time when I am taking photos, I don't even see the color when I take a photo. It is not what draws me to the image. But there are exceptions, and today's photo was one of those. It was the color that drew me to the photo, and it didn't work in black and white.

2020: Tired day on the job. Taken at the EL stop on the Brown Line at Adams in Chicago.
2018: Watching the world go by while waiting for coffee. Taken on Madison and Racine in Chicago. I saw the two of them as I went into Groundswell for my morning latte. I was waiting for my coffee when I took this -- they then got up and the barista delivered their coffee outside to them. Apparently the pup gets a bit excited and pulls the bench when tied outside - so now they deliver the coffee outside to them.
2016: Catfish for sale. Taken at an outdoor farmers market in Oakland, CA. If only I had time, there were many great photos to be taken at this market. It is January but it is CA, so there was tons of great produce. A lot of the vendors were Asian and so was a lot of the produce. But I was on my way to from the hotel to the BART station and was already running late -- so mostly a missed opportunity.

2012: Trees on the Chicago River. Taken at the North Branch of the Chicago River at Eugene Field Park.
