2024: The Christmas Tree Toss. Taken at Warren Park on Clark Street just north of Devon in Chicago.

Before it gets colder, we had to take the Christmas tree to the Park to be recycled. There were a mountain of trees – and Liam volunteered to toss ours to the top of the pile.

2018: Classic Modern. Taken at Open Books on Lake just west of Desplaines in Chicago. Finally a photo that I went out to take instead of shooting at the last minute at night before I went to bed!
2016: I guess tey would prefer not to be photographed. Taken on 18th Street between N St. and Massachusetts Ave in Washington DC. When I can, I like to take most of my street photos before people get a chance to react. Sometimes I like that moment when someone first makes eye contact with the camera -- but they don’t get a chance to do anything: to look away, to smile or to say no. But this was one of the times when I took several photos as I was walking to the office - and this was the last one that I took where they clearly saw me. Otherwise it was just another 2 men in suits which there is plenty of in DC. It was the laundry that drew my attention but how they responded that made the photo interesting to me.
