2024: The Books Are More Organized -- but are our Movements? Taken at home on Sunnyside, east of Lincoln in Chicago.

I took this photo this morning knowing that my 2108 photo on this date was my rather messy pile of resistance books. Today I have more books on movement building and resistance – and they are much better organized (even alphabetical!) So at least in that way, I am better organized. How pivotal this year is becomes clearer by the day, and I am thinking a lot about what we have learned and whether in 2024 our movements are more organized, or less organized and united, than were were in 2018 and 2020. Our future depends on it.

2020: Not the Usual Storefront. Taken on Bryn Mawr Ave just west of Kimball in Chicago. It was hard to miss this driving down the street.
2018: The Resistance is Awaiting. Taken at Home on Hamlin in Chicago. There is no time to figure anything out -- and no time to even take a photo. All that is to change soon -- it is definitely time for change.
2016: Praying for? Taken at the corner of Irving Park and Pulaski in Chicago. When it is as cold as it was today, things are very quiet. I took a walk down Pulaski to Irving Park and had turned around to walk back. As I was crossing the street I looked into the car that was sitting at the light since there were certainly more people in cars than on the street -- and this is what I found.
2012: Reading on the job. Taken on Chicago Avenue east of Michigan Ave.
