I Believe that We Will Win

I joined a rally and march to protest the Rittenhouse verdict.   So I guess I could write here here about the injustice of it and how all of our institutions fail us – that the whole damn system is guilty as hell.   And I am sure I will write about that more than once – and a lot of the speakers and chants addressed that.   But then there is the chant "I believe that we will win" – and not just the chant but the joy and passion – and even fun that many of the protestors brought to this action and so many others.  So here are a few photos capturing that joy and optimism and determination – from yesterday and other actions over the years.  I know that I don't always share that positive belief, but just for a few moments at these actions that feeling is infectious.   One of the many reasons that we must rally, march, sing, and dance!

Marching with style to demand police accountability. (7/25/20)
Close the camps and abolish ICE (7/13/19)
Singing at an action to save DACA. (9/5/17)

Dancing to close the Rittenhouse verdict protest (11/20/21)
Drumming for Women Taking Action (5/23/17)

Making some good noise (10/17/19)
