2024: Selling Bread. Taken on Clark Street just south of Touhy in Chicago.

A warm sunny day in February puts so many people in a good mood. Everyone commented on "the beautiful day" and "the wonderful light". I was asked if I was "taking good pictures" and told that everyone was friendly "because I was in Rogers Park." Although she is bundled up a bit in this photo, I am sure she was also enjoying he warm temperatures because I am guessing that she would be there selling bread no matter the weather. As soon as I took this photo she broke into a big smile too.

2020: Into their phones. Taken on the Red Line between Belmont and the Loop
2018: Samuel Gompers on the snow. Taken in Gompers Park at Foster and Pulaski in Chicago. This statue of Samuel Gompers sits at the corner of Foster and Pulaski. It is easy to miss it -- but today it was covered with snow. However my favorite photo of it was taken in 2012 right before Halloween when someone put a mast and black hood on Mr. Gompers. I still drive by something and think about the day I saw that and stopped to take photos of it. Today it was only the snow. PS. Mr. Gompers will make another appearance at a later date in a 2020 photo!
2016: Bathed in a red light. Taken at the Hideout on Wabansia just East of Elston in Chicago. PS. I think this isn't the last that we will see of the Hideout.
2012: A union job would be better than this. Taken at the SEIU Janitors rally in downtown San Francisco
