2024: Our Favorite Bakery. Taken at A27 Bakehouse on Carrer del Carme in El Raval, Barcelona.

Departure day from Barcelona. We had a morning flight – so the only opportunity for a photo was the early morning trip to the bakery for our last Spanish baguettes and croissants.

2020: Defending immigrants. Taken at PASO on North Ave. just east of Mannheim Road in Melrose Park, IL. Rep. Chuy Garcia was one of many speakers addressing the media about the Trump administration’s threat to deploy tactical units to Chicago to threaten and intimidate the immigrant community.
2018: Pay Your Fair Share. Taken on Dearborn Street between Federal Plaza and the Daley Center. Today was the Working People’s Day of Action where most, but of course not all, unions rallied to protest the attack against labor in light of the Supreme Court arguments in the Janus case. I joined the CTU feeder march that went from Federal Plaza and met up with the major rally at the Daley Center. This photo was taken along the way.
