2024: Beep Beep. Taken at the Desert Healthcare Wellness Park in Palm Springs, CA.

When we arrived in Palm Springs a few days ago, we went searching for birds in this small park not too far from our hotel. Just as we were leaving, we saw three roadrunners. I had only seen one once before and that was just a quick glipse – so needless to say we were very excited. So today we went back to get another look. This time, we got closer and the road runner put on quite a show for us. It was beautiful. Beep! Beep!

2020: Chicken on the loose. Taken on East Ave between Garfield and Roosevelt in Oak Park, IL. Actually this was one of four chickens that were foraging in front of some houses. They would be looking for food in the bushes along the front of the houses and then make a run across the open spaces in front of the stair ways or along the sidewalks. They looked like happy city, well suburban, chickens!
2018: Ready to speak. Taken at Federal Plaza at Dearborn and Adams in Chicago. I attended a Vigil for Immigrants addressing the changes to Public Charge. The light was bad, there was no march, and it was cold. She was the emcee and was trying to stay warm before going back up to speak.
