2024: Peppers. Taken on Sunnyside east of Lincoln in Chicago.

We spent much of the day cooking for Christmas Eve dinner. The star of the show will be the mole! There are four different kinds of dried peppers in the mole– and the first step is roasting them over the open grill.

2020: Back of the bakery. Taken on Oak Park Ave just south of Garfield in Oak Park, IL. It was already evening and we were making a delivery to Mony’s mother when I could smell the bread through my mask from the bakery on the first floor and through the open door the cooling bread and a bit of the baker.
2018: Watching the mill gate. Taken on Clinton Street in downtown Johnstown, Pennsylvania. I took this photo as I drove into town. I need to look back in past years, but am pretty sure that I took a similiar photo before -- but that year it was Santa! PS -- check out the 2012 photo on December 24.
