2024: A New Bakery in the Neighborhood. Taken at Au Levain Bakery at Lincoln and Cullom in Chicago

I guess this bakery had been operating as a weekend pop up. I had see the lines, but didn't realize that is what it was about. Now, they just opened their own storefront. When I learned about it, I had to make a stop this morning. Definitely on my short list of places with great chocolate croissants. and it is so (too) close.

2020: Vacant. Taken on Marion St south of South Ave in Oak Park, IL. This was a store but now an empty storefront -- eerie in what remains and what is gone.
2018: Through the window. Taken on Michigan Ave. just north of Congress in Chicago.
2016: Sweeping leaves. Taken on Rhode Island just east of Connecticut in Washington DC.
2012: Intently cooking. Taken at Alicia's on Winnemac just East of Oakley.
