It has been a while since I walked up Lincoln to get my photo, but I found some time today. Lately, I have seen more people out and about with masks on. It could be for health reasons, but I also think people have discovered that masks keep us warm in really cold weather. Or in this case, maybe it is just a fashion statement.
2020: Why is it? Taken on Lawrence Ave. between Central Park and Kimball in Chicago. Why is it that when you see a group together like this and some are masked and others are not -- it is usually the man who doesn’t have the mask? I have certainly seen it the other way around -- but that is rare. Why? PS -- of course the answer is that with all of their male white priviledge they assume they are are immune to everything. 2018: But on public property. Taken in Washington Square Park on LaSalle Street in Ottawa, IL. Every year when I go to Ottawa over the holidays, I notice that there are these paintings of the Christian Christ story. Today I walked through the park as it was getting dark to get a photo since I didn’t have any. The sign states “erected and maintained without city or government funds”. Does that mean someone else can erect anything else that they want with their funds?2016: Cleaning up after closing. Taken on 17th Street near K St. in Washington DC 2012: Riding the garbage truck. Taken on Lawrence at Kimball Ave.
