2024:Do Not Cross. Taken at Montrose at the entrance to the park in Chicago.
I would have had a photo at the Lakefront - if it were not for the "Police Line - Do Not Cross."It was a Sunday evening, and I am sure that the Park was heavily used during the day, but it was a Sunday evening and there were a whole row of cars leaving the park. We could see open parking spots. Nevertheless, the cops had closed every entrance to the park, and were not letting any cars enter the streets into the park. They were not even letting in uber and lyft drivers. It was only 6pm – and the parks are open until 10pm. There was no reason for them to stop us from using our park – except that they could. We settled for taking Mony's father and his wife to Horner Park for a walk along the River. No one closed that.
2024: One last trip to donate. Taken on Touhy west of Carpenter in Skokie, IL. There were a few trips before this one to Goodwill, as well as ones to the City Recycling Center and Open Books. Especially earlier in the summer when things just started re-opening, there were long lines to donate -- but not so much today.2018: Privilege. Taken on Lincoln Ave. between Leland and Wilson in Chicago. Yes, it is hot, but I think the fan is a bit much! When I saw this photo, I didn’t hesitate a second to take it before they went by. I have no idea what Dad thought as I took it, but I just smiled and said I loved the fan!2016: Like a movie set. Taken on Argyle St. just East of Broadway in Chicago.2012:Talking to the frog. Taken on M-22 in Leland Michigan.
