2024: The Loon. Taken at Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge near Sequim, WA.

For the last day of our vacation, we stopped at the Dungeness Natinal Wildlife Refuge before driving around the Sound to go to the Seattle Airport. It was foggy (no suprise there) as we walked along the spit and watched birds. Seeing a couple of loons fairly close to shore was a real treat.

2020: Exiting. Taken on Lawrence between Hamlin and Central Park in Chicago. I am always watching for people exiting from storefronts as an opportunity to get a photo. In these days of COVID, I watch to avoid getting unintentionally to close to someone.
2018: Calm Start. Taken on Lake Michigan in the Manitou Passage between Glen Haven and South Manitou Island. I finally had a chance to paddle across the Passage to one of the Manitou Islands. It was 8 miles to go from Glen Haven to the lighthouse on South Manitou Island. The conditions were so calm -- and at times like this one, there was not even a ripple on the water. We visited the lighthouse, had lunch, and explored a little bit before paddling 8 miles back. There was a little more waves and wind on the return -- but really just a perfect day. Thanks to Robert, Joelle and Erik I was able to make the trip. I hope to go to North Manitou next and soon.
2016: And I go there for ice cream. Taken at the Chocolate Shoppe on Devon and Minnehaha in Chicago.
2012: What is that again? Taken at the Dupont Circle Metro Stop in Washington DC.
