2024: Morning Coffee. Taken at Bru Coffeeworks on Lawrence west of Sacramento.

The best coffee beans in Chicago can be found at Bru Coffeeworks on Lawrence. We go there once a week to buy freshly roasted beans. Today, there was a line as I waited my turn.

2020: The new normal on Lawrence Ave. Taken on Lawrence Ave. between Central Park and Kimball in Chicago
2018: Opening Day in the Snow. Taken at Cominsky Park (aka Guaranteed Rate Field!) at 35th and Shields in Chicago. At this point the game was going better than you would know from this photo -- but the weather was worse. It snowed most of the game -- or at least most of the time during the 4 innings when I was there. The Sox were ahead when I left 4-2 but ended up blowing a 3 run lead in the bottom of the 9th and losing the game 9-7 in the 10th. Pity the poor fans who stayed for the whole game.
