2024: Maybe Only One is Enjoying Themselves. Taken on Lincoln Ave near Leland in Chicago.

Great sun today and as the weather is nicer, there are so many more people out an about and the windows and outside dining were open. Sometimes when I watch people, I wonder what the story is. I never know if they story I read has any relation to reality.

2020: A Favorite Mural. Taken at Lawrence Ave. at the Kennedy Expressway in Chicago. This mural is located as you exit the Kennedy Expressway at Lawrence. I am usually driving so don’t think I have ever taken a photo of it. But today I was the passenger and it rained hard all day - so here it is.
2018: The monument to the selfie. Taken at “The Bean” in Millennium Park in Chicago. I had just been to a lecture by Ai Weiwei as part of the Humanities Festival. One of the things that he was asked about and discussed was all of the selfie’s that he takes. When I left the Harris Theater, I decided to take advantage of the bright sunny weather, and walked through Millennium Park where so many people were out. In bright sunny weather there is really no better place to take photos -- since that is the one thing that everyone is doing: taking pictures of themselves, taking pictures of friends or family, asking strangers to take pictures of them. I wonder if the artist had any idea of how wildly popular it would become. It is a great place to watch people as they walk up to it and under it and as they interact with it.
2016: Looks too young to fly. Taken at Terminal 1 at O’Hare Airport
2012: Carrying in the vegetables. Taken on Balmoral Ave just west of Clark Street.
