April 22

To celebrate Earth Day and to inaugurate Kim into birdwatching, we went to Montrose Bird Sanctuary – not that we ever need an excuse to go there. There were not so many birds today – but there were so many insects that they formed clouds above the trees. Where there are lots of insects the birds are sure to be arriving or on their way. The swallows are back – and having a feast. And there are more birds to come soon.

2020: Earth Day. Taken on Hamlin between Ainslie and Argyle in Chicago. The tree in my backyard is about ready to flower. I took this photo to honor trees and to honor Earth Day.
2018: Busy place for a sandwich. Taken on Lincoln just north of Wilson in Chicago
2016: Waiting for the train to go by. Taken on Rockwell near the Brown Line Stop in Chicago
2012: Cleaning. Taken on Wilson Ave near Sheridan.
