2024: Serving Paella. Taken on Sunnyside Ave east of Lincoln.

We had a wonderful dinner with fabulous friends while we did not celebrate my birthday. Mony makes the best paella, and Mona served it. The food and wine and conversation were all too good to think much about taking many photos, but I did take this one.

2020: On Hamlin. Taken on Hamlin between Ainslie and Argyle in Chicago. I went for a short walk this morning, just 3 blocks on on Hamlin and took photos of the everyday in my immediate neighborhood.

2018: Going to work at O’Hare. Taken at the Jefferson Park Blue Line Train stop in Chicago. I was on my way home after my flight returned from NYC. They were waiting for an outbound train, and judging from their uniforms -- it looks like they were on their way to work.

2016: Hoop house in the rain. Taken a 9 Bean Row Bakery on Duck Lake Road between Lake Leelanau and Suttons Bay in Leelanau County, MI. This is how you grow greens in Northern Michigan in April, and they were wonderful. But today when I went to buy more since I was leaving later in the day - they didn’t have any because they didn’t bag them right the night before and they had wilted. So no greens for Chicago. And they were having a really bad day because they burnt the chocolate croissants! I had to settle for other delicious pastries.
